Its that time of year again! FESTIVAL SEASON! Everyone loves a good festival, with Coachella making its very sad departure from us, theres still loads of festivals to come this year and we want VidaKush to be at them all! From known festivals like Coachella, or fairly new ones like Tyler the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival that takes place in the fall, aside from the crazy lineups, you never know what you're going to get with these festival outfits and accessories, and thats what makes it fun for a fashionista like myself. A couple weekends ago I attended The Smokers Club Festival in Long Beach with a few of my friends, and I walked in dripping in VidaKush. I would like to share some of the jewelry pieces I pulled for this dope two-day event, for some festival inspo.
Day one of the hip-hop festival was crazy, us being shuttled to the beach in some nice weather was a good way to start off this weekend. The line up included acts such as, A$AP Twelvyy, Blocboy JB, 2 Chainz, a surprise set by Young Thug, as well as headliners Schoolboy Q and Wiz Khalifa! So I wanted to make sure the accessory game was right!
Not sure what look I was going for either day, but I wanted it to be memorable, I wanted to make a statement, and I wanted my accessories to speak loud and clear, and thats exactly what they did. Above is my day one look, a fairly simple outfit with major deets. With most of the pieces coming from the Festival Maximalist/Minimalist collections, I wanted to mix it up a bit. The Chain Mail belt was definitely the head turner of the outfit, and my personal favorite accessory. Day two's acts were the BEST part, Earl Sweatshirt, Isaiah Rashad, Mac Miller, Dom Kennedy, and headliner Kid Cudi all took the stage, and completely shut the festival down!
Here's a closer look at the pieces I used and similar ones you can use to accessorize your best festival outfit!
Bold pieces are definitely an important trend this year, and the Chain Mail Belt is the perfect accessory for boldest of looks, from the minimalist trend.
Heres a look at the Chain Mail Belt and other accessories that help pull off the same look, other ways.
Earrings have become just as fun to mix and match as necklaces are! Especially when they're dripping in diamonds and charms.
THE BANKS EARRING SET
Simplicity was key with this look, and the Sparkle Faux Lip Ring was my absolute favorite piece from this day, doesn't matter if you have a face full of makeup and jewels like myself, or you're keeping it simple with a couple jewels and a little makeup, the Sparkle Faux Lip ring will compliment you very well either way.
And don't forget to tag #VidaKush in your next festival look:)
Necklace layering has become more and more popular, you can mix and match so many unique pieces, and the Daisy Charm Necklace was a nice addition to the necklace layering I had going on.
Check out a few of these necklaces you can mix and match for loads of layering fun.
Sunglass chains are a very convenient stylish piece, that helps keep your sunglasses on you at all times, while also upping the accessory game serving as a necklace. We have sunglasses chains for every mood ;)
