Muni Long's Iconic VMA's Look!

We’re beyond excited to share some major news—VidaKush had the honor of being part of Muni Long’s stunning VMA look! 🏆 This was not just any VMA appearance; it was for a nominee in the "Best R&B Video" category for her song Made for Me. Her amazing stylist Hanna Isaksson trusted us with bringing her vision to life. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Hanna before, and we truly value relationships like these, where we get to learn from such talented individuals.

Muni's outfit was a jaw-dropping burgundy lace bustier with a ruffled skirt and edgy lace-up boots. The vibe was bold and beautiful, and we were thrilled to complement it with custom jewelry. With Savage X Fenty sponsoring the look, we were given a treasure trove of signature X charms that are the brands staple and integrate them into the look. We got creative, breaking down the pieces and reimagining them into something that would flow with the look and Muni would love. 

In true VidaKush style, we took it to the next level—literally transforming silver into gold! We spray-painted silver charms to match the gold and pearl theme Muni had in mind. It was such a fun and hands-on process. And just in case, we gave her options to go silver too (because you never know in those last-minute fittings!). But when it came down to it, the gold won, and the final look consisted of custom pocket chains and loves of blinged out crosses and pearl necklaces. 

Being a small jewelry brand, this project was a big deal for us. The VMA's audience is huge and we are so lucky to be apart of such a big event, especially collaborating with other brands like SAvage X Fenty. We are so grateful this project could happen and love when, small brands can deliver on major stages.
