Today, we are delighted to share the behind-the-scenes look at a project that has been both eagerly anticipated and immensely rewarding here at VidaKush. When an artist as talented as Chappell Roan makes waves in the music industry, we are so proud to be a part of creative projects that reflect her rising star power.
In our office, we are all passionate fans of Chappell Roan. When her album was released, we played it on repeat, immersing ourselves in her captivating sound. Recently, she achieved significant recognition by winning the VMA for Best New Artist, a remarkable accomplishment that speaks to her growing influence in the industry. Additionally, her appearance as a guest artist on NBC’s renowned Saturday Night Live showcased her immense talent and further solidified her status as an emerging icon.
Our involvement in this project arose through our long-time stylist friend Ann-Marie, who has been a loyal associate of our Vidakush owner. Ann-Marie was connected to the exceptionally talented stylist Genesis Webb. Her creative vision for the live performance required the band to wear spooky, bedazzled spider tights. Knowing exactly who could bring this vision to life, Ann-Marie reached out to us without hesitation.
The news of collaborating on a project for Chappell Roan sparked an exhilarating response in our office. In celebration, we promptly played her album once more, as we bedazzled our hearts away. The design was ambitious, requiring us to create tights for all eight band members arms and legs—a total of 32 legs to sparkle!
With not much time left on the clock, our dedicated team at Vidakush committed the next 40 hours to craft these stunning bedazzled spider tights. We meticulously hand-placed over 2,000 rhinestones, to all sides of the tights. Ensuring each leg was blinged out to perfection, we had gluing and heat press stations to get as many rhinestones on the tights as possible. The undertaking required artistry, skill and patience, as time was a crucial factor in our task.

Ultimately, we completed the tights just in time for them to be presented to the band for their performance with Chappell. It was an honor to play a role in such a pivotal moment in her music career.
