When Nike launched their new DN8 shoes, they did it with style, energy, and creativity—and we’re proud to say VidaKush was right there with them.
For this exclusive launch event in Los Angeles, Nike tapped VidaKush to bring something unique to the table: a custom shoelery bar, where guests could transform their fresh pair of DN8s into personalized works of art. From chains to charms to curated lace selections, we built an immersive styling station that fused jewelry design with sneaker culture—a match made in streetwear heaven.
Custom Shoelery, the VidaKush Way
We worked with a talented team to develop custom display trays that were crisp, clean, and true to Nike’s minimalist aesthetic. Our layout highlighted the magic of the moment—each element designed to elevate the DN8 sneakers while honoring Nike’s iconic style language.
At the shoelery bar, guests could choose from:
-
Gold and silver Nike swoosh charms (custom designed by us!)
-
Red, black, white, and glitter laces
-
Numbers, letters, hearts, stars, swirls, and infinity dubraes
Each piece was carefully chosen to offer a full range of expression. It wasn’t just about looking good—it was about making it yours.
A Panel on Passion and Personal Style
Before the shoelery bar opened, guests sat in on a panel featuring our founder and lead designer, Rhianna Cooper, and Nike athlete Simone Jackson, a trailblazing soccer player whose impact reaches far beyond the field. Rhianna spoke on the importance of consistency in building success, how jewelry has no gender, and how personal style can empower people to show up in the world as their most authentic selves.
Simone shared her journey as a Nike athlete and what it means to move with purpose—on and off the field. The conversation set the tone for the evening: thoughtful, expressive, and rooted in community.
All Red Everything
Nike’s attention to detail carried through every element of the event. Guests enjoyed red-themed bites, custom DN8 macarons, and drinks—all curated to match the signature red tone of the DN8 shoe line. Nike explains the new shoe is the latest iteration of Nike's Dynamic Air Technology and is also available is black, metallic, red and bronze.
Grateful to Collaborate
We’re honored that Nike trusted us with this vision and allowed us to contribute our design eye and charm expertise to such a powerful launch. We had such a great time and have confidence that guests did too. We thank the entire VidaKush team and all our friends who came out to support.
