The first monday in May did not let us down.
In the glamorous world of Hollywood's red carpets, The Met Gala is not one to miss. With the biggest names in the industry, every detail counts, especially when it comes to jewelry! For us at VidaKush, the opportunity to create a custom piece for NAZ Perez, a TV host and personality from the Hollywood Reporter who would be interviewing on the carpet, was a dream come true!
The story began with a familiar face, Baby Kam Kam, an awesome stylist with whom we had collaborated before. Baby Kam Kam approached us with a special request: to create a piece that would add a romantic and whimsical touch to the reporter's ensemble, inspired by the theme of the night,"Sleeping Beauty; Reawakening Fashion."
Drawing inspiration from the Naz interpretation of the theme "garden of time," we decided to incorporate vintage watches into the design, making them the centerpiece of our custom accessory. The necklace featured our signature cubic pearl chain, delicately layered with dropping crystals, creating a mesmerizing effect that captured the essence of the theme. Sitting at the base of the neck, it complimented the dress beautifully and attracted all the right attention.
To pair with the choker, we also provided the reporter with some of our best-selling watch rings, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to her hands. The final result was a stunning ensemble that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of the Met Gala in a timeless way. (no pun intended)
On the night of the gala, the reporter, adorned in our creation, took to the red carpet to interview some of the biggest stars of the night. From Ariana Grande to Shakira, Lana Del Rey to Chris Hemsworth, the reporter's interviews were as captivating as her jewelry, and we were so proud to have been a part of such a memorable moment.
As the night came to a close, we watched with pride as our creation shimmered and sparkled through all of NAZ's adventures. It was an honor for us to have been involved in such a prestigious event, and we are grateful to Baby Kam Kam and NAZ for giving us the opportunity to shine.
