Featured on The Canvas LA, our founder and designer Rhianna Cooper gives us the inside scoop on all things VidaKush. From starting with her mom's company to discovering Instagram when it first came out, this Canvas interview tells it all.
Selected as one of the self-made artists from LA highlighted in the Canvas series along-side designer and wardrobe stylist Anne-Marie, VidaKush shares its story. The collection of chosen artists includes film-makers, political artists, photographers, and other brand owners. This is an ever-growing art community that invites all. Watch how we showcase our creative talents and unique techniques used to be successful.
In the video, Rhianna explains how perfectly this company came together. Honestly, it was magic. Instagram had just come out becoming a huge tool, and constantly evolving with the growth of the company. Then came...Shopify! That changed the game. Where would we be now without Shopify?! A program that was able to kickstart sales and make us who we are today.
Going back to the beginning, our first VidaKush pieces were all inspired by Rhianna friends for occasions like Coachella and other festivals alike. We love creating pieces that resonate with the times and "what's poppin!" Trends from the 2010's are making a comeback, so keep your eyes peeled for some archived pieces being reintroduced. You too can be a millennial IT-girl.
When you have VidaKush in your jewelry box you will have pieces that last you forever. With fashion repeating itself and jewelry trends tending to move slower, the value of our pieces only grow. We keep all of our jewelry available online, even from our first collections. We love to see how our customers interact with our earliest creations.
We are honored to have the opportunity to tell our story with Fuse TV. The Canvas LA and VidaKush support any artists that have passion and drive to do what they want to do. We are here to uplift and encourage any aspiring creators from here in LA to anywhere in the world. Our pieces travel from our LA office, to Japan, to Singapore, to New Zealand and beyond, so can our ideas.
